mercado ecológico
There is a farmer's market in my neighborhood. It is small and makes me muy happy. For US$0.93, I bought one kilo of darling little sweet, red strawberries and for US$2.47, I bought a half-kilo of unbelievably creamy queso de cabra (goat cheese). I stocked up on spinach, beets, basil, bread, daikon, and granola made from quinoa.

Looking at your pictures and reading your blog makes me really miss Lima... even all the little frustrating things you encounter.

Yes, Lima has its warts and all, but I'm loving it. I've been fortunate so far because I've been relatively secluded from las cosas the volunteers have to deal with daily. But, when I return from Caracas in November, I plan on diving right in.
